How your rate is determined
Our counselling services fee is $130 per hour. We do offer a sliding scale, where people pay what they can afford based on their income and individual circumstances. We want our counselling services to be accessible for all and support those facing financial and systemic barriers to accessing mental health services.
As we are a non-profit agency, your fees go directly into supporting the organization to continue to provide services, paying counsellors for their counselling services, and to supporting clients with increased barriers to financing counselling.
Victim Services
Our community based Victim Services team provides a wide array of services and supports to our clients.
Victim Services workers are here to offer you short-term emotional and practical support. There is no charge to see a victim services worker.
One of their most vital services are the intakes of all Men’s Therapy Centre clients.
Practicum Therapists
We offer an option for clients to meet with one of our practicum therapists. These therapists have finished their training for their master’s degree and are currently completing their practical experience.
The rate for a session with a practicum therapist is $25. If you’re interested in this program, please inquire about it during your intake appointment.
Our intakes - the first step
Intakes at the Men’s Therapy Centre are conversations scheduled for an hour, giving you the opportunity to let us know about you, get to know us, and ask any questions you may have about the services we provide. From there our Victim Services team will work to match you with one of our therapists that best fits your need, if individual counselling is your goal.
We can look into funding options with you to support with financial costs associated with counselling. Please note, there is no charge to access any of the services provided by our community based Victim Services team.
